Map prepared from Google Earth showing the reef zones (Lewis 1960) and occurrence of the 3 Acropora species on Vauxhall Reef.  Occurrences are based based on observations 2015-2024; most are recorded on iNaturalist.

Photos of A prolifera specimens at Vauxhall Reef on Mar 14, 2015.“Specimen 1” photos are within the “Mother Colony”, location shown at right. This large mass of A. palmata likely developed by fusion and growth of individual colonies.

Specimens 2 to 15, are discrete colonies  located within “The FAN” shown at right, proceeding from the Mother Colony towards the shore.
