A major change at Bath when I conducted surveys there in 2015, compared to my last previous visit, in 2011: massive accumualations of Sargassum weed on shore and a thick floating mat of Sargassum weed from shore to about 50 m from shore. As well, even over ‘the platform’ further out, water was green, presumably from decomposing Sargassum/stimulation of planktonic algae.
