It\u00a0 runs for 2 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Read more about the artists\u2019 inspiration and how it relates to the campaign to save critical lands &#8211; including <a href=\"http:\/\/backlandscoalition.ca\/?page_id=3424\">important wildlife corridors<\/a> connecting the mainland and lands of the Chebucto Peninsula &#8211; and protect Sandy Lake in the <a href=\"https:\/\/ecologyaction.ca\/resources-media\/press-releases\/artists-make-bold-and-beautiful-statement-about-threatened\">press release<\/a> about the show.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>I attended the opening yesterday evening. What an amazing group of paintings, capturing so well, the beauty and the energy of Sandy Lake &amp; Environs. I was\u00a0 struck also how\u00a0 key ecological dynamics of the place are represented.\u00a0 It was clear talking to the artists that they were and are very inspired by the place.\u00a0 Attendees were likewise stimulated by the paintings, and there was much discussion of the values they portray and of the importance of conserving the area for all of us and for all species.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks so much to the contributing artists Alex Sutcliffe, Joanne MacLennan, Madelaine Putnam, Nicole Wells, Nika Vaughan, Jeremy Vaughan, Wenxiu Ji; and to Karen McKendry (Ecology Action Centre) and Karen Robinson (Sandy Lake-Sackville River Regional Park Coalition),\u00a0 &#8211; david p<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A wonderful collective of artists has been creating works based on their experiences at Sandy Lake Regional Park.
