Recent cut of a 5 ft dbh sugar maple on an intervale on the Salmon River, Nova Scotia, exposes these wild leeks to full sun through the whole season. The tree was likely cut in the winter of 2014/2015. Dandelions had already appeared (May 30, 2016).
Flowers are expected in late July
