• 1786 Petition

This petition, dated August 14th 1786, is the second request for the appointment of Commissioners of Dyke Sewers by marshland proprietors who have resided for upwards of twenty years in Londonderry Township. Their previous request had somehow been overlooked and they state that they have been very greatly hindered in carrying out improvement to their marsh ground.

  • No Date Petition

This petition, of unknown date, states that five Commissioners of Sewers had been appointed for Township of Londonderry but now two are deceased the other three are old and frail. The petitioners recommended John Deyermond, John Fletcher, Samuel Fletcher, James Campbell Jun., Joseph Mahon, and Alexander Chisholm Jun. for Commissioners of Sewers and if any of the Village are not satisfied with the men nominated in their village they can nominate one that they may think more suitable.
