Center Road Dyke

The remains of an old dyke located adjacent to the so-called Center Road on the Advocate marsh. This dyke is most likely the so-called "Justice Bigelows Dyke" mentioned in a February 21, 1835 Deed. In this deed Patrick Ward of Parrsborough sells 3 acres of Lot No. 6 to George Reed of Parrsborough. In a Stephen Loomer to Justice Bigelow land transaction dated July 5, 1825, both Stephen Loomer and Justice Bigelow give Cornwallis as their place of residence.
