Occurrence of Empetrum eamesii and E. nigrum on an erratic at Chebucto Head (Dec 2-4, 2008). A mat of Empetrum eamesii provided the leading edge of vegetation on this erratic, with E. nigrum and Juniperus commune behind it (not mixed). The woody deciduous vegetation in the background (growing out of a crevice) is Gaylussacia bacatta (common huckleberry).
