Background information on the publication SHAFT

In the Spring of 2000 all students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts Architectural Studies program in the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design (al&da) became members of the newly established Bachelor of Arts Architectural Studies Society (BAASS). BAASS is involved in activities that range from organizing events to producing a publication called SHAFT. SHIFT is an open forum journal that invites submissions from all architectural students. Writers have submitted work from as faraway as Chili and Germany.
