“Nova Scotia received its first allotment of 1,950 doses of the Pfizer-BioNtech COVID-19 vaccine today, Dec. 15.” – News Release and the vial from the first dose is already in the NS Museum (CBC Dec 22, 2020).

On a new strain: “A new variant strain of SARS-CoV-2 that contains a series of mutations has been described in the United Kingdom (UK) and become highly prevalent in London and southeast England. Based on these mutations, this variant strain has been predicted to potentially be more rapidly transmissible than other circulating strains of SARS-CoV-2.” (US CDC Dec 22, 2020)

Dec 25: “Nova Scotia Health Public Health is advising of potential exposures to COVID-19 at four locations in the Central Zone.” NS Health

There were four new cases [in Nova Scotia] Thursday (Dec 24) from 992 completed tests, for a positivity rate of 0.40 per cent. The rate of active cases is 3.6 per 100,000 people. Over the past seven days, there have been a total of 28 new cases. The seven-day rolling average of new cases is four. The Star

Ontario, Manitoba, Quebec, Alberta and much of the world are not doing well at all.

It’s 13 degrees today, Dec 26. Yesterday it was 13.4, the highest on record for Xmas. ‘Still harvesting kale but that’s not Good News.
